Abstract. To reduce the compositional and structural heterogeneity of humic acids (HAs) and achieve better use of HA resources, in this study, we report a new sequential dissolution method for HAs derived from Chinese weathered coal. This method was used to separate HAs into seven fractions by adjusting the pH (3-10) of the extraction solution.

SUBSTANCE: method of production of water-soluble humic acids which includes drying of brown coal with a content of humic acids of at least 50%, crushing the brown coal, processing the crushed coal with the alkaline reagent, and brown coal before crushing is dried to a residual moisture content of no more than 20%, after crushing it is divided into …

Abstract. In this paper, the production of humic substances (HS) through the bacterial solubilization of low rank coal (LRC) was evaluated. The evaluation was carried out by 19 bacterial strains isolated in microenvironments with high contents of coal wastes. The biotransformed LRC and the HS produced were quantified in vitro in a liquid growth ...

Method The weathered coal samples from Zuoquan, Wutai and Jingle in Shanxi Province were collected, treated with different methods and subjected to plant culture tests. The processing chemical characteristics and biological activity of humic acids derived from weathered coal samples of different origins were compared and analyzed with ultraviolet spectrometry, …

Compared to the classical procedure, the colorimetric and CDFA methods overestimated the humic acid content of the eight samples by 120% and 52%, respectively. Therefore, these procedures do not produce a reliably accurate value for the humic acid contents of humates and products produced using materials extracted from them.

the air. The weathered coal in our research had high degree of weathering and oxidation [31], making it similar to the weathered coal in Huolinhe [32]. Experimental method An orthogonal experimental design was applied to the humic acids oxidation experiment with four oxidation parameters at three different levels: the H 2O 2 concentrations of ...

The Fe3O4/LaNiO3 composite, synthesised with the sol-gel method, is considered to be an excellent nanocatalyst for the production of high value-added humic acids from oxidised weathered coal under solid phase milling process conditions. Under optimum process conditions (1% catalyst, 10% activator, 60 min grinding), 48.4% of the weathered coal can be oxidised to …

Weathered coal has high oxygen content and low calorific value, and has lost its value as a power fuel and coking coal. However, the generally weathered bituminous coal contains a large amount of regenerated humic acid (HA) and a variety of oxygen-containing reactive functional groups, such as carboxyl groups, phenolic hydroxyl groups ...

The raw material used in the extraction of humic acid (HA) was the subbituminous coal from Candiota mine (southern of Brazil), with mean diameter of 0.032 mm determined by laser granulometry (Cilas 1180). The proximate analysis of coal revealed 53.36% of ash content, 24.28% of volatile matter and 5% of total moisture.

The biodegradation of coal discard is being intensively studied in South Africa in an effort to develop passive methods for the successful revegetation and rehabilitation of waste dumps, to mitigate pollution, and facilitate mine closure. Bacteria were isolated from slurries of coal tailings and diesel-contaminated soil, screened for coal biodegradation competence, …

Introduction. Humic acids (HAs) is a mixture of natural amorphous colloid formed through various biological and abiotic degradation processes of animal and plant residues 1, which are featured by complex molecular structure, chemical composition, chemical reactivity and decomposition resistance 2.HAs widely exist in soil, coal and natural water body, and meanwhile their …

Liquid Humic Acid Concentrate extracted humate . This humic acid source is a weathered type of oxidized subbituminous coal rich in humic substances Our Humic source is similar to the commonly found Leonardite lignite coal BUT our source contains a higher concentration of Humic substances and significantly lower levels of ash and heavy metals …

HA activated coal is the new production of humic preparations to be used in the branch of agriculture in recent years. Two commonly used methods (Nitric acid oxidation method and Potassium hydroxide extraction method) were used to activate the weathered coal to find out the best method of making humic acid.

Keywords: humic acid enhanced urea, maize, aboveground dry biomass, fertilizer N uptake, fertilizer N residue 1. Introduction Nitrogen (N) is one of the most important and limiting nutrients in cereal production. The adequate supply of chemical N fertilizer is central to the high crop productivity achieved in modern agriculture.

Humic acid content has been used as an important and basic index to evaluate different weathered coals. For example, the humic acid content of weathered coal from Lingshi exceeded that from Huozhou by 57.1% . Besides humic acid content, differences also exist in the elemental composition and pH value of weathered coal from different mines .

Benefits of Humic Acid Throughout history, farmers have used humic acid to generate healthier plants and a higher crop yield. Today, humic acids are even more essential than ever, for the reasons mentioned above. Here are just a few of the many benefits of humic acid. •Increases nutrient uptake •Increases water-holding capacity in soil
